IndraMind protects and streamlines digital procedures between citizens and the Social Security system with its video identification and electronic signature system
Madrid, 19 December 2025. – IndraMind Cybersecurity, the cybersecurity unit of IndraMind (Indra Group), has provided the Social Security IT Management (GISS) with an advanced telematic identity verification system that will enable citizens to access this administration's digital services and complete all procedures requiring remote identification entirely online. The service will also ensure regulatory compliance and protect the parties from possible fraud.
To this end, the Social Security has integrated the Group's cybersecurity unit's biometric video identification and electronic signature technology into its web environment and mobile applications, "all of which are proprietary products and developments that reflect the public sector's commitment to technological sovereignty in its growing digitalisation and protection; a key issue today that guarantees greater autonomy, control of digital assets and resilience against external threats," according to Roberto Espina, global director of Cybersecurity at IndraMind.
Video assistance for secure administrative procedures, mobile applications for proof of life for pensioners abroad and access to the Social Security electronic headquarters are the services that will be supported by IndraMind Cybersecurity's cloud solution, "to further streamline the relationship with users who can only carry out these procedures online, providing them with agility, simplicity and security throughout the process, as well as enabling our administration to move towards the complete digitisation of public services," says Santiago Rodríguez, director of the Information Security Centre of the Social Security IT Management (GISS).
To facilitate citizens' electronic access to these services, the GISS required the implementation of a solution that would streamline and, at the same time, protect the process and its data in procedures that required remote identity verification. To achieve this, it has combined the digital onboarding solution with video identification—a registration process based on biometrics with facial recognition and proof of life, and validation of identity documents, all using advanced AI techniques—with the single-use certified electronic signature from IndraMind Cybersecurity and its company specialising in identity verification, Mobbeel. In this way, Espina points out, ‘users can complete the entire process online, from verifying their identity electronically to accepting consents and information and, finally, signing documents with full legal validity.’
For his part, Santiago Rodríguez of GISS states that ‘this is a system that, as planned, will serve millions of citizens through our website or mobile app in a secure, intuitive manner, from any device and location, without the need to travel to prove that they are who they say they are.’ The administration will also provide them with a service available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, greater convenience and accessibility throughout the process, and avoid waiting times at physical locations.
According to a recent UN study, Spain ranks 17th in digital administration among the 193 countries analysed and 10th in Europe, with the availability of its services rated as good. Through this initiative, IndraMind Cybersecurity enables the entity to advance the digital transformation of its activity in a secure manner and contributes to improving service to citizens. IndraMind's cybersecurity unit has more than 2,000 specialised professionals, of whom more than 400 are experts in this field and are responsible for verifying more than four million identities and electronically signing 150 million documents each year in the public and private sectors, mainly in Europe and Latin America.
